An opportunity to gain an A-level qualification in one year. You will study topics on the society, history and culture of contemporary Italy and will develop relevant exam skills. Suitable if you have studied Italian for about five years. The course fee includes non-refundable exam costs payable in advance and is payable in instalments.

This course will be delivered online. However, a mock exam will take place in February 2025 at our central London college. You will therefore need to make sure that you make the necessary arrangements so that you can attend. The exact date will be posted when the mock exam has been set up.







The official exams will also take place at our Covent Garden college during the months of May and June (exact dates to be confirmed). Please note that the end date of the course may change depending on when the official exams are scheduled.







* Please note that, subject to government guidance, we might need to implement a contingency plan to be followed in the event of exam cancellations.

Italian 2 lower: module 1 is the first module of second-year Italian, and you'll find yourself communicating with increasing confidence. Italian 2 lower at a gentle pace will cover the same language points as the standard Italian 2 lower course, but with slightly longer lesson times there will be more time to go over topics a bit more slowly. The emphasis is on developing your oral skills, but you will still be working on your reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. Suitable if you have completed 'Italian beginners' or equivalent. Based on Nuovo Espresso 2 (Alma Edizioni, Italian version).

This course follows the A-level syllabus and is suitable for those who would like to progress in Italian in a structured way. The course does not lead to the exam but aims to prepare you to join the Italian A Level course next year. Ideally you should have taken GCSE Italian (having achieved a grade 7, 8 or 9) or have equivalent upper intermediate knowledge. The course is divided into three parts (parts 2 and 3 will take place in term 2 and 3).

Questa classe di conversazione ti offre la possibilità di consolidare il tuo livello intermedio di italiano praticando e perfezionando I punti grammaticali studiati al livello 3. Adatto a chi frequenta un corso al livello 3 lower or 3 upper oppure a chi ha una conoscenza equivalente della lingua. This course is for intermediate and lower intermediate learners of Italian (Italian 2 Upper and Italian 3 lower, or learners in their third or fourth year of studying Italian) who would like to improve their reading skills and learn new grammar and vocabulary through reading and discussing works of Italian fiction and/or non-fiction. The texts chosen may be in the form of easy readers to facilitate understanding. The chosen texts will be written in Italian, and discussions will be in Italian, though some English may be permitted, so learners will be able to stretch themselves and feel more confident about expressing their opinion and asking questions in class.
