What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

The course is for beginners to Lightroom, but it would be useful to be confident working on a computer, and to have a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Please note we will be using Apple Mac computers.

You will need to be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and be prepared to take part in group discussion. You should be happy using numbers and able to do simple measurements and calculations.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Demonstrations, individual assistance, practical exercises and notes. Each student will have their own Apple Mac computer to work on.

Use of Adobe Lightroom outside the class will be beneficial which can be downloaded from Adobe.com for a 30 day trial for free and then for less than £10 per month. Https://creative.adobe.com/plans.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

There are no extra costs. You will be supplied with images to work with, but ideally you should bring your own images, in a digital format, to use during the course.
