What is the course about?

London’s Galleries are famous the world over, housing everything from famous masterpieces & forgotten gems. Each week we explore a different Gallery – from the artworks themselves to those that built the collections, the buildings, the history and even the odd bit of scandal. This is not a quick highlight tour, but a deep dive into the stories beyond the gallery walls and what makes London’s galleries so great.

What will we cover?

National Gallery

Tate Britain

Guildhall Art Gallery

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

A deeper appreciation of the art collections in the Capital and the stories behind them.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

No particular skills, but an ability to do a gentle walk

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

A series of Walks in different areas of the Capital

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

Please see our London History and Walks area.
