What is the course about?
Learning how to develop assertive, confident speaking in business or social situations.
What will we cover?
Vocal technique including posture, breathing, resonance, articulation and intention. Strategies for communication in various scenarios such as presentations, meetings and everyday conversations.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Recognise the techniques for improving vocal communication
Develop a vocal work-out you can use in any situation.
Begin to apply what you have learnt in everyday life.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Open to all levels. The student should be prepared to reflect on their own vocal presentation and be open to self-development.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
There will be a mixture of instruction, physical exercises, role play, presentations and regular feedback from the instructor. All students will be expected to discuss their development and provide examples of situations in which they are experiencing difficulty.
As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Loose fitting clothes is advised.
