What is the course about?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a type of detox therapy that uses very gentle movements and massage techniques to drain excess fluid from the body and improve the overall functioning of the lymphatic (immune) system. On this course you will learn how to apply MLD techniques to the face and neck that will aid the removal of toxins and excess fluids by unblocking blocked lymphatic channels. Manual lymphatic massage may relieve oedema, boost the immune system, assist in fighting infection, improve the skin – scars, wrinkles, acne, improve lymph flow and provide deep relaxation and used as part of our beauty routine in a stressful environment whilst also helping our skins to regenerate. Manual lymphatic drainage is a treatment which applies very gentle flowing pressure to the face, which will stimulate the body’s lymphatic system ; assist drainage and boost the immune system. Students will learn how to give a basic treatment to practise on friends and relatives whilst also understanding any reasons why it may not be suitable to have a treatment.
