What is the course about?
This course is a practical introduction to the techniques of meditation using mindfulness and compassion and is derived from the Buddhist traditions. Discover the mind's natural capacity to enjoy life more fully, by learning how to live more in the present.
What will we cover?
You will learn a variety of practices and principles of meditation including body awareness, mindfulness of breathing, cultivation of compassion and walking meditation. We also touch on mantra and formless meditation. You will learn how to work with difficulties in meditation and to cultivate the benefits of meditation. You'll be expected to commit to practising between sessions.

- Practise meditation effectively and regularly

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is suitable for absolute beginners to meditation and those who want to renew or refresh their practice. You need to be able to read short sentences, follow verbal instructions and extract information from handouts.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
