What is the course about?
Through awakening to our innate wisdom, our ability to relax deeply and use our physical practice for healing and a more connected feeling. An introduction to Medicine Buddha, drawing on the teachings and methods of Tibetan Buddhism will give us awareness meditation, visualisation and mantra recitation – practices which invite the direct experience of Medicine Buddha.
Useful for yoga practionioners and meditators.
What will we cover?
Introduction to Medicine Buddha and his qualities and respective values and purpose.
A gentle movement practice based on the Tibetan Yoga of Kum Nye.
Visualisation and Mantra practice.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
List some of the qualities of the Medicine Buddha introduced
Participate in a guided meditation
Chant a simple mantra with the group
Understand and follow the movement practices taught.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Suitable for anyone in basic good health. You will need to be able to sit relatively still for short periods, on a chair is fine. You should be able to follow written and verbal instructions.No eperience required - although iot will suit those of you with an interest in meditation, yoga and/or Tibetan Buddhism.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
There are no additional costs.
Wear clothes you can comfortably sit and move in.

Any yoga or meditation course at the City Lit.
