What is the course about?
We will explore the connections between mindfulness and the person centred approach. We will do this using different meditation practices, experiential exercises, discussion and some background theory on mindfulness and the PCA.

Carl Rogers: ‘What heals?’.
The ‘Doing mind’ and ‘Get me out of here!’
The experiencing self and the self-concept.

Practice meditation for self-awareness.
Describe Carl Rogers’ insights into healing.
Describe the complementary nature of mindfulness and the person centred approach.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Some familiarity with Carl Rogers and the Person Centred Approach would be helpful.
A willingness to participate in groupwork and pairwork and to share in discussions and personal reflections.
