The course aims to build on the content covered in Modern Greek 3 lower: module 1. In particular, it aims to expand the students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge, so that learners can understand and produce accurate and appropriate language in a range of communicative contexts.
What will we cover?
On this module you'll acquire practical vocabulary and essential grammar focussing on the theme of housing and living arrangements.

Rooms and furniture (π.χ. κουζίνα, σαλόνι, τραπέζι, καρέκλα)

Grammar Focus:
Articles (ο, η, το / ένας, μία, ένα)

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Students should have studied Modern Greek for 3 years recently or have an equivalent knowledge of the language. You will also need to respond to simple instructions and read course documents in English and be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (using money, telling the time etc.)
Choose a level 3 lower course if you can:
take part in a simple conversation on a variety of everyday topics (e.g., weather, family, interests, times of working day, location of company departments),
give and justify your opinions and ideas,
write a short piece of text with a good degree of accuracy (e.g., giving an account of educational background, job, interests, etc),
express hypothetical sentences and doubt in the language.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
