Play your instrument confidently and skilfully Identify different instruments and their sounds accurately Listen and respond to the other members of the group Follow instructions from the conductor / leader Remember your parts and play in front of an audience.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is for people with learning disabilities, you will need a recognised ability in making music.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
The tutor will demonstrate how to play, and you will work with other students to make up rhythms and sounds that we will practise and build on each week. You will listen to recordings of different kinds of music and say what you think and feel about it.
