Guys and Dolls - the iconic musical from 1950 and the1955 film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra contains some of the most memorable repertoire from the 20th century musical theatre catalogue. Come and explore the highlights in several variations (solos, duets and ensemble numbers) at our friendly weekend workshop. "Fugue for Tinhorns", "I'll know", "A Bushel and a Peck", "Adelaide's Lament", "If I were a Bell", "Luck be a Lady" and " Sit Down you're Rocking the Boat"are just some of the classic songs covered. This Contemporary dance class is a dynamic and fun experience based on the principles of Release-technique and some playful explorations. Simple movement phrases and tasks are built upon to develop greater awareness of the body in space and in relation to others. Floor, centre and travelling exercises lead to efficiency of movement, rhythmical and free-flowing dance sequences.

Tell your own personal story to others, and in so doing gain some perspective on how past events have shaped your life and how they will affect your future, while at the same time inspiring and informing others about life choices. The course will take place in a safe environment in the college.

Aimed at dance enthusiasts, emerging and existing artists or aynone interested in working in the dance community.



The program will give a rounded overview of the nature and structure of this strand of participatory dance practice, covering areas such as professional practice, responsibility, health and safety, working with people and an understanding of legislation which underpins the practice.

This playful and creative mask course, suitable for students at any level, introduces you to the mask. You will be carefully guided to explore the principals and techniques required to bring a character to life, to create speech with the body and without the voice. Masks will be provided but why not bring along some different style outfits and a variety of hats with you, then you’ll have more to play with on the day.

A dynamic and vibrant class that combines West African dance and music with some Contemporary dance influences. The movements, energy and music will leave you energised and rejuvenated.

How can the impact of what we hear and feel enhance our connection to our voices? Learning the skills of ‘quieter’ activities in such a loud, fast-paced world can result in improved wellbeing. Through body-mind connection and the use of vocal sounds, whispering, gestures, rhythms and touch, you can not only reset your nervous system, and better manage stress, but also find a deeper connection to your voice in this afternoon workshop.
