  1. British and Irish folk music

This is an intermediate-level online course for any instruments: lectures, demonstration, ornamentation, and ensemble repertoire with your teacher in a group setting online. You should have one to two years' experience on your instrument and play at grade 2 to 3 standard.

  2. Jazz harmony, ear training and ensembles: foundation

  6. Jazz ensemble playing

    If you already play jazz and have substantial understanding of jazz harmony, come and develop your aural, harmonic and rhythmic sense through practical study of jazz standards, improvisation and transcribed solos. While we may not play as a group at this time, you will be set practical tasks and learn useful approaches to develop your playing.This class will meet every 4 weeks.   7. Transcribe jazz solos

    A study and sharing group for experienced jazz players with a good working knowledge of harmony and experience of improvising. We will focus on in-depth listening and transcription of recorded examples by well known jazz musicians. Online sessions will include demonstration and performance opportunities.
