City Lit offers performing arts courses in the heart of Covent Garden in Central London during the evening, daytime and at weekends. Explore our range of subjects including acting, (including accredited acting courses), dance, radio and screen, and voice, speech and communication as well as a full range of music courses, such as piano, singing, strings and wind instruments to jazz and pop, music technology, music theory and history

  1. Ukulele: improvers

  2. Violin and viola advanced: technique

Your tutor will guide you through technical work and pieces from the ABRSM grade 6 syllabus plus a wide range of other repertoire and scales/arpeggios at the same standard.   3. Flute advanced

    This online course is for flautists with at least 5 years training, or Grade 6+ standard, to advance their solo and ensemble playing in a variety of musical styles. The advanced class is fast-paced, and you need to be able to sight-read and play fluently from bottom C to top A. Learn pieces in a range of styles, including core classical pieces. Develop your technique and the art of creative, expressive performance through traditional and contemporary schools of flute playing.

  4. Chamber music skills: intermediate

  10. Drama therapy

    Investigate the role and function of drama therapy as a working model on this intensive course. Looking at a range of drama tools that can be used in therapeutic settings, you will explore aspects of drama therapy story enactment and how to work with Archetypes in a drama therapy setting, Forum Theatre as a method for engaging with others is also a part of this course. Fun, insightful and packed with tools you can use, this is a great introduction to applying theatrical processes to therapy.

  12. Charleston: taster

    Our fun taster session is a great way to try a class and to meet our friendly team of professionals who will guide you through some of the basics and answer your questions, so you can be sure that a course is right for you.
