If you play piano at around grade 7 standard, join one of these lively workshops to develop your playing by studying a wide range of piano repertoire, with a focus on technique, tone production, pedalling and performance skills.

Start singing and explore your voice in this fun, confidence-building course. These classes will introduce you to healthy use of your singing voice and basic musicianship through a selection of songs from a variety of genres.

Continue your singing journey and explore your voice in the second year of our training programme. These classes will further develop your singing voice and musicianship skills through a selection of technical exercises and songs from a variety of genres to suit all musical tastes.

Study more complex musical language including duplets, double-dotted rhythms, alto clef, double sharps/flats, the concept of enharmonic equivalence, and recognising and writing common triads. Learn the technical names for scale degrees, and standard ornaments and instruments. NB: scheduled break week: 30th May 2024.

Practise and develop your acting skills by rehearsing in depth scenes from contemporary plays or a whole short play. These will be performed in the college's John Lyons Theatre to an invited audience at the end of the course. This course is suitable for students who have completed a broad range of our acting courses at beginners and improvers level or who have gained suitable experience elsewhere.

Develop your understanding of musical language by learning to read and write rhythm and melody in compound time, phrase structure and anacrusis (upbeat/pickup), transposing between clefs, major and minor keys up to four



sharps/flats. Break week: 30 May 2024.

If you play piano at around grade 6 standard, join one of these workshops to develop your playing by studying a wide range of piano repertoire, with focus on technique, textural awareness, practice and performance skills. NB: no class 30 May 2024.

For pianists with around four years' experience. Improve your finger technique, coordination, phrasing, music



reading, and your confidence.

An exciting and rigorous one-year part-time training in the core disciplines of acting. Taught by industry professionals, this course will build your craft as an actor and is ideal for anyone intending to enter full time training at drama school.



The course fee is £2225, plus an upfront fee of £525 payable at the time of your enrolment.



If you are unable to pay the course fee upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the cost. Discover the pleasure of playing in small, mixed instrumental ensembles, one per part, in a variety of repertoire. For classical instrumentalists at grade 5/6 or above. Due to the demanding nature of most piano parts, pianists should play at Grade 8 level or higher. Good sight reading skills and experience in chamber music are required. Break week 23rd May.

Join us to explore the history of opera over three enjoyable terms. In this first term we’ll explore the ideas that fuelled origins of opera and the wonderful world of Baroque opera seria. NB Break week: 31 Oct 2024.
