Improve the quality of your voice and standard of speech through relaxation, stance, breath capacity/control, articulation, forward placing and expression. This course will be delivered in the college.

For jazz vocalists with a sound technique and experience of jazz and Latin styles. Develop your solo performance and expand your repertoire in this further edition of our advanced class. Some repertoire (see below) and vocalese will be taught, and you will be invited to contribute and perform repertoire of your choice.

An actors most important tool is their body!



Having an awareness of space and presence and utilising the body to help carve engaging, full-born characters is vital in theatre, whether this be during improvisation, delivering a monologue or throughout the process of a performance. It's important to have the tools to do this!



This course aims to give every member an introductory “toolkit” you can take away with you, freeing your body, exploring character technique, enhancing your improvisational and performance intuition and becoming confident in your craft.

If you're an experienced saxophone player, come and extend your technique, musicianship and performance skills in this advanced workshop. The emphasis will be on playing pop and jazz, developing your musicianship, and improvisation.

An ensemble for proficient jazz players to improve and maintain sight reading and section work, playing music from the classic era of Big Bands plus contemporary and original arrangements. If you have completed Sing jazz 1, or who have equivalent experience and ability in the jazz idiom, join this class to develop your jazz conception, solo performance and expand your repertoire. Continues to Sing jazz 3 next term.

Your voice should be an extension of your character. This Saturday workshop offers accessible and empowering mind-body techniques to deepen your awareness and connection to your voice so that the message you give out is true to your intention.

This innovative and one-off workshop shows you how to integrate modified Pilates movements with voice training as a holistic approach to voice, starting at breath release and progressing into phonation and resonance. Through this combination you may begin to find a link between body and voice through the core muscles of support. A fun but intensive Saturday workshop in the college.

Jacques Lecoq’s style of theatre training is in the body, it involves exploration of ourselves and the world we live in with a sense of curious play. Lecoq revolutionised the format of theatre craft and his style and techniques are recognised as essential tools to any professional working actor, in its most basic or grandest of themes. It is a style that hugs you warmly and sticks with you, adaptable and diverse.



The Lecoq technique is about the performers engagement, listening physically and their connection in the space, working together as an ensemble, devising your own work and finding new ways to do it are essential.

Venture back to Vintage dance styles! As the solo dance of the Swing family, Authentic Jazz is a blanket term for a number of popular dances from the 1920s and 1930s – the Charleston, Black Bottom, Shimmy, Suzie-Q and many more. Danced to Jazz and Swing music, and like the other styles of the same family, it is energetic and playful. Ideal for confident beginners and those with some prior knowledge.

Engage all your senses to connect mind and body awareness while singing. Explore how the psyche affects how we relate to singing. This is a practical course in the classroom for singers in all styles, not an academic study.
