This Improvers' course will explore a variety of essential voice techniques such as engaging storytelling, clear and precise articulation and subject-appropriate intonation. Additionally the course looks at how to differentiate your reading styles between audio books and talking newspapers.

Learn to create your own more original tracks by recording and manipulating samples, beats and synth sounds to individualise your sound.

All cultures respect the world of Story. The ability to tell Stories, in a variety of settings, is a skill that has seen a strong resurgence, both in the workplace, and in contemporary performance. Gain confidence and experience in storytelling on this intensive summer course.

A fun and intensive workshop all about the incredible world of narration. This enormous and lucrative area of the voiceover world includes podcasts, e-learning, documentaries, audio books, medical/technical narration, explainer videos and more. You’ll learn how to deliver great reads from the inside out. It’s not just about the sound of your voice!

A lively short workshop class for singers with some solo experience: employ your vocal technique in a more flexible and artistic way and deepen your understanding of critical evaluation of singing.

Learn to perform ensemble numbers from popular Broadway and West End shows, from standard classics to modern musicals. Gain confidence in performing as a group, and enjoy singing solo within an ensemble.

Explore the making and meanings of four classic albums released 1966–1973 that reflect and define their era: The Beatles’ Revolver, Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On, David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon.

Learn how to make recordings of sung and/or spoken voices, then edit them, add effects, or mix with other tracks. Suitable for those with some previous experience in digital audio.

Have fun acting, with theatre games and character exercises. Build your confidence, meet new people while you will learn and practice the key techniques needed for performing improvised comedy scenes.

This evening course in the college enables you to work on and speak Shakespearean monologues with confidence, with focus this term on Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet. We will also rehearse duologues from these plays, and look into their background. A fun class which allows you to perform monologues and scene work from Shakespeare plays with conviction.

Come to play tunes from several traditions and two continents, working with complex rhythms in related and contrasting ways. There is a musical narrative that begins in Africa, travels to the Caribbean and South America, then back to Africa, carrying musical styles and rhythmic patterns. We will explore samples of this rhythmic timeline.

Jacques Lecoq’s style of theatre training is in the body, it involves exploration of ourselves and the world we live in with a sense of curious play. Lecoq revolutionised the format of theatre craft and his style and techniques are recognised as essential tools to any professional working actor, in its most basic or grandest of themes. It is a style that hugs you warmly and sticks with you, adaptable and diverse.



The Lecoq technique is about the performers engagement, listening physically and their connection in the space, working together as an ensemble, devising your own work and finding new ways to do it are essential.

An exploration of jazz music as we find it today and as it has developed over the past forty years.

Exploring “real life” recording sessions, as they would be run in professional voiceover studios across a range of genres. This is an advanced course looking at the working world of voiceovers.

Rehearse scenes and speeches from various Shakespeare's plays. Create vivid performances that are both true to life and true to Shakespeare’s language.
