What is the course about?
Empower yourself on this two-day course: identify how you surrender your power, then build strategies and practise skills to reclaim it. Develop a positive self-image to come across more confidently in your personal and professional relationships. Build your confidence and self-esteem. Invaulable for social occasions, meetings, interviews and making presentations.

Confidence and taking the initiative on a first meeting
What is personal power?
How powerful are you? ( a self assessment)
Explore the relationship between power and comfort
Ways to reclaim power
Body language and the link with self exteem
Good deeds and the feelgood factor
Expanding your comfort zone
Linguistic banana skins ( don't trip yourself up!)
Asserting yourself to restore the balance of power (eg. with a boss,doctor etc.)
Stopping self put-downs
Complimenting yourself: building a data bank of your qualities,skills and talents
Complimenting others and accepting compliments from others.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Present yourself confidently through your body language
Stop putting yourself down and using positive language
Assert yourself in situations where you feel less powerful
Present yourself confidently and positively.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
No prior knowledge of the subject is required. Activites and practical exercises involve reading and reflecing on content, discussion and working in small and large groups.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This is a participative training involving discussion, individual self-assessments, practical exercises and role play in pairs, groups and in the plenary. The trainer reserves the right to take a flexible approach, responding to group and individual needs while meeting course objectives.
You will be given strategies to put into practice between day one and day two, to expand your comfort zone with a view to enhancing your personal power form the outset.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Please bring a pen and notebook with you. The trainer will provide plenty of handouts to back up the course content and learning. No advance reading required.
