What is the course about?
This hands on course will enable you to confidently identify your client’s posture and how this may impact on their pain and adapted movements. Over the four days, you will work with an osteopath who will share a variety of concepts and how they present in your client, and how this can inform your treatment and home care.
This course is suitable for massage/sports massage and exercise professionals.

- Biomechanics including bio-tensegrity, Janda’s model
- Linking the classroom to your client, how this will inform your treatment/exercise recommendation.
- Introduction to ergonomic.

By the end of this course you should be able to...
Confidently identify your client’s posture and how it may impact upon your client’s presentation.
Apply strategies to assess your client.
Discuss biomechanical models to support your clients presentation.
Review functional anatomy.
Outline strategies to help promote good ergonomics.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is designed for those who hold a level 3 or above qualification in Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports
massage or Level 3 Personal Training.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will be taught in a variety of ways including:
• Class discussions and presentations
• Hands on demonstrations
• Pair and small group work
• Flipped learning.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Bring shorts and a t-shirt or sports top (for standing examination, postural assessing)
Wear comfortable clothes for movement
Pen and paper for making notes.
