For an effective total body workout, there is nothing to beat the highly versatile resistance band. Great for weight-bearing exercise, developing strength, stretching and mobility.
Unlike the rigid mechanics of gym machinery, training with a resistance band can be tailored to individual body proportions, making your practice more accurate and efficient. The different grades of resistance accommodate all fitness levels from beginners and those returning to exercise to the well-conditioned participant.
Strength Training: This course covers a wide range of strengthening exercises for the upper and lower body.
Mobility: The final thirty minutes of each session is dedicated to stretching and mobility. Resistance bands support a wide variety of options for lengthening muscles and releasing joints throughout the body.
What will we cover?
Lower Body: strength and mobility for hips, knees, ankles and feet.
Upper Body: strength and mobility for upper back, shoulders, and arms.
Core: development of core strength, spinal alignment and stability.

Technique: Weight-bearing and mat-based exercises focused on safe, effective alignment.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Perform strength sequences for the lower body, to build foundational strength around the hips, knees, ankles and feet.

Demonstrate improved core stability and spinal mobility.
Apply effective whole body stretching and mobility techniques using the resistance band.
Design a short, safe personal resistance band routine to practice independently at home or while traveling.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is a beginner-friendly all levels course and no prior knowledge is needed. Everybody is welcome to participate; no specific fitness or ability level is required.
Prospective students with injuries or conditions that could be affected by exercise should consult their doctor or physical therapist prior to enrolment.
This course is a great option for anybody aiming to gain the skills and confidence to design routines to do anytime, anywhere - at home, on holiday, or even on the go.
