What is the course about?
This course is a revision and consolidation course to enable you to join a level 2 course starting soon. You will refresh your existing French and revisit the basics.
What will we cover?
Topics: introduce oneself, daily routine, travel
Grammar: regular and irregular verbs in the present tense, pronouns, past tenses
Note: these learning outcomes are just an indication of what the tutor will cover. They will be discussed at the beginning of the course.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- talk about yourself and others
- use verbs at the present tense confidently
- talk about your daily routine in the past and in the present
Please note that the learning outcomes may vary depending on the general progress made by the students.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is not aimed at beginners. You will need to have studied French in the past for at least a year or two. This course will enable you to refresh your French to be able to progress to our main provision.
It can also be a good revision course if you have completed a French 1 course recently.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Based on tutor's own material.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
The tutor will advise you to join either a French 2 lower module 1 course or a French 2 lower at a gentle pace: module 1 course during the day according to your level. The tutor might advise a different level if appropriate depending on your progress.
Please note: We reserve the right to change our tutors from those advertised. This happens rarely, but if it does, we are unable to refund fees due to this. Our tutors may have different teaching styles; however we guarantee a consistent quality of teaching in all our courses.
