Our world continues to experience the adverse effects of climate change and extreme weather events.This short course looks at how the convening ofthe UN's 31st Climate COP in Antalya can deliver on finding new global solutions to the looming climate crisis.

What are the root causes and effects of the changing climate in the context of a sustainable development agenda?
Why has globalization left behind groups in society and damaged the natural environment?
How is the threat of the climate crisis placing at risk the ability of future generations to meet their own needs?
What is theproposed agenda for leaders attending COP31 in Antalya and who are the stakeholderswho need to be involved in future COPs?
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Noprior knowledge or skills are needed just an interest in climate change and global sustainable development.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
The course will be taught by a combination of illustrated lectures, groupdiscussionand reflection pieces.

Anita is a sustainability professional with experience spanning the not-for-profit, public and private sectors, including senior advisory and assurance roles for UK Government and an international children's charity. She holds a MSc in Global Governance & Ethics from UCL's School of Public Policy, a MSc in Construction Economics & Management from UCL's Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, as well as a BEng in Civil Engineering and MBA from Imperial College. Anita represents the UK in the development of international standards in sustainability, governance, ESG and modern slavery and was interviewed on the BBC and CNBC during the global pandemic. Her training and education roles have included the fields of risk, value, facilitation, sustainability, resilience, business continuity, crises and future risks. Anita is a member of UNA-UK and Co-Chairs the Sustainability Alumni Network, Imperial College London.
