Have you ever wondered about the science behind mindfulness?



Dr Trudi Edginton is a clinical psychologist and lecturer in neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience at City, University of London. In this lecture she will describe her research and practice which focuses specifically on assessing and responding to cognitive and emotional difficulties using mindfulness-based interventions. She is also concerned with how to improve access to mindfulness therapies across the lifespan. Her clinical experience includes investigating the impact of traumatic brain injury, chronic fatigue syndrome and dementia.



Dr Edginton is also a CBT therapist and mindfulness teacher and she has published and presented her research in International Journals and conferences. Her clinical experience includes investigating the impact of traumatic brain injury, chronic fatigue syndrome and dementia.

What is the course about?

This is a science guest lecture from Dr Trudi Edginton which aims to introduce some key concepts in neuropsychology and cognitive science, in particular in relation to mindfulness practices.

The lecture will focus on how mindfulness-based interventions are being researched and applied.
