This series of workshops aims to enable students to reinforce and consolidate their ability to communicate in Spanish through the topic of Art, by analysing and discussing a famous painting and piece of music in a 2-hour workshop.
What will we cover?
This workshop will focus on Summer. We will analyse and discuss a famous painting and famous piece of music dedicated to the seaon of the shining sun.

What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
- analyse and discuss simply a famous painting and piece of music with the appropriate vocabulary - express the sensations and emotions that a painting or a piece of music bring to your mind - have a better knowledge of art in general and how to discuss it - improve your speaking and listening skills in Spanish.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Ideal if you have an intermediate level of Spanish, are doing 'Spanish 3 lower', 'Spanish 3 upper' or have an equivalent level (B1 level).
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
The course is based on the tutor’s own resources.

LS031 Spanish 3: one season, one painting: otoño in November or any Spanish 3 course in the summer and in September.
I have lived abroad for more years than in my home town Barcelona, because I have always enjoyed travelling and getting to know different cultures. I currently teach Spanish and Catalan, my mother tongues, to adults and university students. I also speak Italian, English and some French. My pending subject is to learn Arabic. However, my passion is art history, especially 19th century sculpture. I have also worked as an exhibition curator in some Catalan museums. So, if I'm not in class, you'll find me in a museum or exhibition. In this sense, London is a jewel. For all these reasons, I love to prepare courses in which I can combine my interest in teaching languages with my interest in art history.
