- The legacy of this period in the national identity of the Spanish people today.
- The different interpretations which have been offered of the culture of Muslim Spain.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Identify key historical events of this period.
- Reflect critically on the complexity of the cultural exchanges that took place among the Muslim, Jewish and Christian communities during this period and on the legacy of al-Andalus in modern Spain.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Suitable if you have an advanced level of Spanish (if you have completed at least 5 years of Spanish).

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
