Find out about the skills involved in lipreading and build your confidence in understanding conversations. Suitable if you have little or no experience of lipreading.







This course will be taught in spoken English and not in sign language.

This is a powerful approach to therapy. You'll learn to work more effectively with negative thoughts and feelings through acceptance and mindfulness work. You'll also learn how to identify, and move towards, valued goals and directions in your life. If you are new to us, you need to have some advice on the course suitability. Do you feel like a refresh or a fresh start? This 8 week course will help you tackle fears around stammering while working on personal goals, within a supportive group. There will be a focus on exploring more of your natural expressiveness and spontaneity, while challenging beliefs and habits that you wish to tackle. You will also have opportunities to review your strategies, stretch your comfort zones and build your confidence.

This course will give you practical strategies for coping with your hearing loss and will help improve your confidence and well-being.







This course will be taught in spoken English and not in sign language.

Designed for speech and language therapists, this four-day interactive workshop will cover assessment and selection, stammering modification, interiorised stammering, cluttering, acquired stammering and an introduction to mindfulness. Opportunity to practise teaching techniques to clients included.







Note: this course runs on these days: March 20-22; and a final follow-up day on October 7.

This course will help you get become confident in your everyday communication including reading and writing. We will focus on topics that interest you and use these to help you improve the key elements of reading and writing as well as communication skills to enable you to express your thoughts and feelings including in difficult situations. You will learn to how write whole sentences and paragraphs, use adjectives effectively, organise your writing, make notes and complete drafts, spell important common words, use punctuation correctly and develop reading and writing strategies most suited to you. And you will learn some digital skills including reading and finding information from websites. This course has no exams.
