This course is suitable for you if wish to improve your knowledge of English tenses. You will learn the names of the different tenses, for what situations we use them and their structure form. You will be signposted to online sources of information and practical exercises which can be used to refine and revise your knowledge throughout the course and after the course has concluded. This course has no exams.

These sessions can be taught at any level and are designed to help you improve your BSL. You can ask your teacher to give guidance on specific areas of BSL. This can also be used to ‘brush up’ and practise before assessments and exams. If you are on one of our BSL courses and wish to undertake further practice in your own time then this course is for you! Please contact the department for further details and to discuss your requirements. You will then be assigned one of our BSL teachers to work with you.



Sessions can be face-to-face or via Zoom.

Get skilful at taking pictures with your smartphone or digital camera. Edit your pictures by cropping and adding effects and filters. Print your pictures for people to look at in a book or an exhibition.

Improve your vocal ability. Compose original group vocal pieces. Listen to music from different parts of the world. Perform to an audience.

Your body and everyday objects can be sculptures - use them to create a piece of performance art.

Individually tailored 1-1 lipreading coaching sessions. These can be taught at any level. Sessions normally last one hour. Timing and day can be flexible dependant on tutor availability. Fee of £59 is for one hour's tuition.

Learn how to share and express your emotions via hobbies, interests, everyday activites etc to friends, family and the wider world through drawings, posters, photographs, videos etc.
