  4. Level 3 certificate in BSL

    Ideal if you have passed level 2 in BSL and are ready to develop the knowledge and skills you need to achieve the level 3 qualification, accredited by Signature.

    The course fee is £1211, plus an upfront fee of £188 payable at the time of your enrolment.

    If you’re unable to pay the course fee upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the cost, repayable after the course ends.   7. Reading for Pleasure for Deaf people (intermediate)

    The aim of this course is to develop deaf people’s reading skills in a friendly and supportive environment. During this course you will read various articles (newspapers/magazines) and stories / novels. You will also be discussing your reading materials in BSL, learning new vocabulary and exploring the structure of English. Translating from English to BSL and summarising texts will be a large part of the sessions. This course is suitable if you have achieved and/or have been assessed at English Entry 2 and/or English Entry 3 level. This course has no exams.

  8. Finding a job in health and social care: level 2

    Do you want to gain employment in health and social care but do not know where to start? Have you recently had a career change or want a fresh start? This course is an accredited level 2 award in skills for professions in health and social care. It has been devised to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to access employment in a health and social care environment. You don't need to be working in a health and social care environment, but previous experience of study in this area would be beneficial. We recommend this course to go alongside the level 2 certificate in health and social care.

    Are you new to word processing, spreadsheets and presentations? Join this course and learn how to use the most important basic features of Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2016. This course will give you the confidence to use the programs independently as well as follow your studies to a higher level. By the end of the course you will have improved your skills and gained a qualification, Level 1 ECDL award in IT user skills.
