What is the course about?
You will learn the sequence of movements from the first section of the Yang Tai Chi form, warm-up exercises and Chi Kung exercises that together will positively deepen your relationship with and understanding of your own body and create a more peaceful state of mind. This is a face-to-face class.
What will we cover?
The course will cover the movement sequence of the first section of the Yang-style Tai Chi form, warm up, and Chi Kung exercises.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
-Perform the first part of the Yang-style T’ai Chi form to a good basic level.
-Demonstrate smooth, steady, even movement
-Understand and use effective application of movement.
-Perform warm-up exercises and some Chi Kung movements
-Experience a more relaxed body and a quieter mind after practice.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Suitable for complete beginners, no previous experience in T'ai Chi is necessary.
You will need to be able to follow verbal instructions, observe and copy physical movements and use spatial awareness within a group.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will be taught through demonstration of the specific movements and active participation within a class setting. The course tutor will give instruction during the class to enhance and develop your practice. Handouts will also be given out in some of the classes.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
You should wear loose comfortable clothing. Certain books and video/DVD will be recommended.
