    Are you new to computing? Do you have some digital skills but lack confidence to use them? Would you like to gain the most essential digital skills needed for today's workplace? If you need to develop the foundational digital skills for today's job market, this is the course for you. The course will give you the confidence to use digital devices and tools to collaborate and communicate efficiently with work colleagues, to create documents and presentations, and make simple spreadsheets. You will learn the transferable digital skills you need to progress, participate and express yourself in the workplace. You will also gain a qualification. 53% of UK employees do not have the digital skills needed for work. You don't need to one of them.

  2. Becoming confident on PowerPoint 365
    Course start date:  Wed 1 Dec 2021 (and 1 other date)

    Do you want to learn how to create presentations? Are you completely new to PowerPoint? Can you use some PowerPoint features but want to expand your skills? On this course you will learn the essential elements of how to create an effective and appealing presentation from creating slides and slideshows from scratch, to using templates, to appropriate use of images and text. You will focus not only on the specific functions of PowerPoint but also what makes a presentation successful.

  3. Becoming confident on Excel 365

    Are you new to Excel? Have you used Excel a little but lack confidence you are doing the right thing? Are you unsure about what you use Excel for? On this course, you will learn the key basic functions of Excel so you can begin your journey in how to handle, analyse and present data. You will learn the main functions of Excel and associated terminology. You will focus on how to create simple worksheets, enter data, present it in a logical and functioning way with formatting that makes it easy to read. You will work on using Excel in place of your calculator to make basic calculations and you will practise turning this data into simple charts and graphs. By the end of this course, you will confident enough to create your own weekly budget calculator. To do this course you'll need to be able to use a mouse, keyboard and basic computer functions.

    Do you need to learn how to use Excel for the office or to keep track of your finances? Do you want to be able to handle, present data and make calculations inside and outside of work? This course is perfect for anyone who needs a good foundation on the basics of Microsoft's popular spreadsheet program. On this course, you will learn how to enter and present data and make it visually appealing, readable and usable through changes of font, style, use of tables and other formatting features. You will practise making calculations, using functions and formulae, modifying links between worksheets, as well as creating basic charts and graphs - a great way of visualizing data!
