We have a huge range of courses to support you in your learning in programming and coding, help you understand new developments in technology with AI, machine learning, data analysis with Python and statistics, give you the tools to succeed in business and digital marketing, or enable you to explore more of the world around you with our science and nature courses.

Our tutors are highly qualified industry professionals, and will help you reach your personal goals whether you are a complete beginner or are building on existing experience.

Our business and technology courses are designed to help you enter employment, advance or reskill in career or start your own business. Currently they are free if you are a) on a Low Wage or b) on Jobseekers' Allowance (JSA) or Employment & Support Allowance(ESA) or c) receive other state benefits (including Universal Credit). Please note that only courses with a start date in 2021 are eligible.

You will need to seek authorisation to enrol on our free Skills for Work courses if:

  1. you are enrolling on our free courses for the first time and want to enrol on more than 2 courses , or
  2. you have already completed free courses and would like to make further enrolments

    Are you using Microsoft Word in an office or in administrative job? Or are you preparing for this line of work? This course will develop all the skills you need to perform your workplace Word work to a high level. Become confident in creating long, consistently formatted, well-presented documents such as reports and performing the tasks most commonly associated with Word in the office. Such tasks will include developing your use of Styles, modifying pictures in documents, using templates, controlling text flow and using mail merge.
