We have a huge range of courses to support you in your learning in programming and coding, help you understand new developments in technology with AI, machine learning, data analysis with Python and statistics, give you the tools to succeed in business and digital marketing, or enable you to explore more of the world around you with our science and nature courses.

Our tutors are highly qualified industry professionals, and will help you reach your personal goals whether you are a complete beginner or are building on existing experience.

Our business and technology courses are designed to help you enter employment, advance or reskill in career or start your own business. Currently they are free if you are a) on a Low Wage or b) on Jobseekers' Allowance (JSA) or Employment & Support Allowance(ESA) or c) receive other state benefits (including Universal Credit).

You will need to seek authorisation to enrol on our free Skills for Work courses if:

  1. you are enrolling on our free courses for the first time and want to enrol on more than 2 courses , or
  2. you have already completed free courses and would like to make further enrolments

Working with emails and tasks is an essential feature of almost any job and it can be easy to become overwhelmed by messages and information. This course will enable you to use the key features of Outlook including the do's and don'ts of sending and receiving emails, sending and receiving emails with attachments, safe downloading of attachments, adding signatures, creating folders to manage your emails, organising and using your calendar to keep on top of appointments, setting up reminders and creating task lists, with staying within the digitally safe and secure and within GDPR.

    A leisurely walk through back garden astronomy. Learn how to find your way around the constellations, whether to buy a telescope, how to find planets and look safely at the sun. Find out why astronomy is good for you.







    Roger O' Brien has taught astronomy for the Workers’ Educational Association, the OU, and the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
