What is the course about?
• Branding principles
• Creating a style for your target audience
• Creating a visually compelling website which engages users
• The technical aspects of how to use Figma to give you confidence to use it independently
Participants who will attend the full course will receive a City Lit certificate of attendance electronically for their CV or CPD records. The certificate will show your name, course title and dates of the course you have attended.

• Graphic design principles: Grid / Typography / Layout
• Interaction & Animation principles

• Prototyping (clickable website).
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
• Utilise UI principles to design the visual aspects of a responsive website
• Use Figma to create a high-fidelity clickable prototype.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Basic computer skills. Useful to know but not essential: An understanding of User Experience and awareness of design. Awareness of general design tools such as Adobe suite, Figma.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This is an online course. There will be work assigned outside of class to create a stronger project. The more you work outside of class the more you’ll be able to push your final website designs and learn more.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
You need access to a laptop/computer that can run Chrome browser efficiently. Have a rough idea of the type of website you would like to design and what it does.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
