What is the course about?

Improve your emotional, physical and mental wellbeing with the Feldenkrais method. The Feldenkrais method is an educational system created by Moshe Feldenkrais (1904 - 1984). When taught in a group it is called ‘Awareness Through Movement’ (ATM). ATM consists of verbally guided slow movement sequences based on learning through movement, sensing, thinking and imagining.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This workshop is suitable for anyone wishing to undo unnecessary habits of stress and tension, and notice improvements in your flexibility, posture, breathing, balance, coordination, daily functions, quality of movement and sleep.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

This is an interactive movement workshop, so you will need a comfortable, safe space in which to participate.

Charoltte is a movement and mindfulness teacher with over 12 years of experience. She says 'Over 25 years I've explored different movement disciplines and therapies. Throughout the years, one particular method stood out from all the others, the Feldenkrais Method - a way of healing and learning through movement. It resonated with my aspirations for awareness, healing, learning and resilience. The people I teach are from all walks of life. I offer a variety of classes e.g Feldenkrais, Mindful Pilates and Pilates Bones & Balance and workshops in different settings from the NHS, adult education, the local community and corporate wellness. I also offer individual movement lessons and Feldenkrais hands-on Functional Integration. To maintain my own wellbeing, on-going learning and curiosity, I have a regular movement and mindfulness practice. I also swim and walk as well as receiving mentoring in the Feldenkrais method and Mindfulness.' Qualifications: Feldenkrais Practitioner, Pilates Foundation teacher, Postural Stability Instructor and Mindfulness for Stress and Health (Breathworks). BA Social Anthropology and Economics.
