- Spanish 2/3: Un viaje por la Patagonia argentina
Discover the beauty of the outstanding of Argentinian Patagonia, the region defined by its dramatic landscapes, jagged peaks, pristine rivers and incredible wildlife. In this workshop we will explore the three main districts (The Lake District, Atlantic and Southern Patagonia) and their historic aspects. We will also touch in the Welsh culture heritage that can be found in small towns such as Trelew.
This will be an informative workshop done in Spanish. You should have an elementary level of the language (at least an A2 level, i.e at least Spanish 2 upper).Online

This Spanish Film Matinee is a chance to find out more about Spanish speaking cinema at the college. The film will be presented by one of our wonderful Spanish tutors and there will be a discussion afterwards.
The film we will be watching is También la lluvia, (2010), directed by Icíar Bollaín and starring Gabriel Garcia Bernal, Luis Tosar and Karra Elejada. Set in 2000, it tells the story of a Mexican filming crew who travel to Cochabamba, Bolivia, to shoot a film about Columbus and get entangled in the Cochabamba protests against the privatisation of water. Mixing fiction and real events, this acclaimed drama will be a great setting to discuss themes of imperialism and social justice, as well as to discover more about Latin American history in a larger sense.
