As part of the UK government’s effort to re-skill and upskill the nation, we’re offering a range of business, technology & communication skills courses for free to eligible individuals. You can join our Skills for Work courses for free if you are if you are a UK or EU resident and:

  1. you live in London and your job is at risk of redundancy, or
  2. on Jobseekers' Allowance (JSA) or Employment & Support Allowance (ESA), or
  3. receiving other state benefits (including Universal Credit) and your monthly take-home pay is below £343, or
  4. You are on a low wage

    Do you want to know that you can work to an outstanding level in any work environment requiring an expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access? Do you want a qualification to prove these skills? The Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ECDL Advanced) will give you exceptional proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software, and will improve your productivity in using IT. You will gain all the skills you need to work at the highest level in an office environment. This course may be free if it is your first L3 qualification. The Advanced Learner Loan is also available.

    If you are eligible for government funding and you are 19 or over and do not already have a full level 3 qualification (equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or 2 full A levels) you may be able to study this course for free. For more information click here



    The course fee is £1200. If you are unable to pay this upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the course fee, repayable after the course ends. A deposit of £200 is also payable to secure your place (refundable after you complete the course).
