Lost in data? Data is all around us. From Covid to football matches, cost of living crises to sales reports, Brexit to climate change, we are all now affected by data in the most intimate and impacting way. Understanding data, producing it and making decisions based on it are now essential skills for everyone. This course will help you focus on what data is, why it is important, what to use it for. You will learn about different types of calculations, working out and using percentages and averages, identifying and presenting different data patterns, and using different types of graphs and charts. By the end of the course you will have developed the key mathematical, numerical and analytical skills you need to use and make sense of important data at work, in the news and in your daily life.
