dance piece for performance. Present your dance skills to an audience. This year the Dance group will be undertaking a 10 week residency with the Royal Ballet based at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

What is the course about?
Develop dance and movement skills
Explore contemporary dance forms
Physical theatre methods
Create a choreography and devise a dance movement piece for a public performance.
What will we cover?
Co-ordination and rhythmic exercises
Create new dance moves
Choreograph a dance movement piece for performance.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Follow a set of co-ordinated movements in a warm-up
Improve your sense of rhythm
Devise your own dance/movement/theatre scenes
Increase control and flexibility of movement
Take part in a dance movement performance.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
The course is for students with learning disabilities with a recognised ability in dance and movement.
