Shani always loved to write stories growing up, but it wasn’t until meeting author Bernardine Evaristo in 2019 that she realised how to become a writer. She began to build up her short story collection whilst honing her craft at City Lit and is now a published author.

Geoff has been fascinated with France since he was a teenager but didn’t have the self-confidence to study French at university. He’s always wanted to become a French-speaking tour guide and so decided to take classes at City Lit to help him fulfil his dream.

Wendy became a children’s book illustrator.

From the time she was a young girl, all Wendy wanted to do was draw and paint. After taking multiple illustration classes at City Lit, she realised she could become a full-time illustrator. She’s currently working on her debut children’s picture book.

Growing up, Chaachi wanted to be a performer. Spurred on by her dream, she booked a singing class at City Lit, which gave her the training and confidence she needed to start auditioning for roles. She has since featured in plays, concerts, cabarets and pantomimes.
