What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

For players who have already studied at this level, and drummers with equivalent technical competence e.g. play paradiddles at 80bpm, establish a groove for rock, Latin, funk and swing.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Learning as a group, playing your electronic or acoustic kit, playing together and solo presentations
Tutor demonstrations; recorded and youtube samples will support learning
Playing by ear, and using notation of various kinds
Learning grooves by ear and from notation.
