Events at City Lit

City Lit is much more than just an educational venue. Our events programme provides a wealth of cultural experience and entertainment. From showcasing the talents and achievements of those who have studied with us, to offering taster workshops for you to come along and try something new.

Throughout the year we host a programme of visual arts exhibitions, drama productions, musical performances, book launches, creative writing performances, stand-up comedy, festivals, talks, lectures and much more...

Our events are held both here in Covent Garden, and offsite in locations all across the city. Our partnerships with iconic institutes allow us to immerse ourselves in these new areas, from The National Gallery to The British Museum, and a whole host of art galleries.

Venue hire

City Lit also offer flexible venue hire in the heart of London.  We have the newly refurbished John Lyon’s Theatre and over 60 classrooms of differing sizes, all available to hire out on a day/half day basis. With great on-site facilities and versatile spaces on offer, City Lit is an ideal venue choice for not only attending an event but to host your own events too.

'The weekend went really well, tech was fantastic and the whole event went very smoothly. The space was fantastic, it’s a brilliant little theatre and was just perfect for everything we needed. The location is also great!'
Ian Street, Project Manager from Deafinitely Theatre
