Massage: student success stories
Learn more about the fantastic accomplishments of City Lit's Massage Therapy students
City Lit's Massage Therapy students frequently go on to set up their own practice, supporting rehabilitation in hospitals, or even teaching and mentoring future therapists. Below, you can view a selection of our students' many and varied accomplishments.

Augusto Queiroz

Anett Nagyapati
Anett progressed from Level 3 to Level 5 Sports Massage Therapy at City Lit. Originally from Hungary, Anett rebuilt her qualifications after moving to the UK in 2012. The anatomical focus and practical training at City Lit gave her the confidence to establish herself as a self‑employed massage therapist. She demonstrated her talent at the UK Massage Championships, earning third place in 2023 and rising to second in 2024. Currently, Anett runs Harmony Wellbeing, where she treats clients with different musculoskeletal issues.

Patti Taylor
Patti completed the Advanced Textile course in 2020. She has since developed a multi-disciplinary practice that includes textiles, print and book making. She has been shortlisted for the RA Summer Exhibition three times and selected twice. She is a member of three textile collectives, London Artists Books and Designer Bookbinders. She regularly exhibits at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair and has had work included in many exhibitions across the UK.

Caroline Burgess
Caroline completed the Advanced Textiles course in 2022. Since then her work has been selected for the RA Summer Exhibition, Royal West of England Annual Open, Wales Contemporary, London Group Open and the Gemini Art Prize. She was also selected by Textile Curator to show work in a curated exhibition at the Festival of Quilts. She has recently completed the Mass Sculpture Program, where she is developing her textile installation practice.

Victoria
Victoria has been studying ceramics at City Lit since 2019, participating in a range of courses including City Lit Ceramics, Ceramics Portfolio, Throwing and Decoration, and most recently, Tuesday Pottery. Her practice centres on wheel-thrown forms, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics and techniques of Asian ceramics. In Summer 2025, Victoria was invited to exhibit at the Strethall Art Fair where she sold her entire collection of work. This marks an exciting milestone in her creative journey.
