What is the course about?
Self-care for mental, emotional and physical well-being.
You will learn a variety of self care techniques to reduce stress and handle pressure more effectively.
The course involves creating a personal self care plan, practising simple self care techniques, understanding the role of stress in our lives and ways to reduce it, as well as long term strategies to incorporate self care into your daily life.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

Self care - theory and practice.
Identifying the effects of stress on body and mind.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Perform a variety of holistic, self-care techniques.
Identify areas of stress in your life.
Create a personal self-care plan.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Beginners - no previous experience required.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Talk, presentation, demonstration, discussion, pair work, group work.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
No other costs. You may wish to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
Complementary therapies - particularly vibrational/energy based such as Reiki, crystals and healing.
