What is the course about?
The course provides an overview on how to plan and manage your projects using Microsoft Project. It will help you to become more efficient in meeting crucial deadlines and monitoring and maintaining control of your project.
Students wishing to practice the homework can download a free trial Project management licence from Microsoft for the duration of the course available for 30 days.
This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is an introductory class. Students should have basic computer literacy and have an interest in using MS Project software to manage projects. The course is taught using PCs, and students should have a basic knowledge of Windows.
Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will be taught through a structured day of lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises and work based discussions. You will be referred to handouts with exercises for you to complete.
