Reading The City

City Lit students & staff come together to read & perform creative writing

Reading The City will return as part of City Lit's open days on Friday 6 April 2018 at 5-6pm

Join us in the Student Centre on the Mezzanine floor on Friday 6 April 2018 at 5-6pm to hear students and staff come together to read and perform creative writing.

Come along - be inspired and supported by others with your writing!

Join in!

Everyone is welcome to attend and to perform! Read your own work or listen to others. Any subject, any style, any form.

Each piece should be no longer than 5 mins combined. This is so we can hear as many different voices as possible. One piece per person – though do bring extra to read if we have time at the end.

Share your own work and read an extract from your new script, non-fiction essay, short story or children’s story, or perform a poem / spoken word piece.

Not ready to read your own work yet? The Between the Lines City Lit Anthology of Creative Writing will be available for those who would like to practice their speaking skills by reading aloud the work of others.

Get in touch

If you'd like to take part, email, call 020 7492 2666, or speak to a member of the Student Centre team in person. Or just turn up on the night - and do spread the word to anyone else who you think might be interested.
