What is the course about?
This course aims to enable you to converse and read more fluently in Russian. You will consolidate your language skills and build on previous knowledge.
What will we cover?
Ruslan 2, chapters 1-4
Themes: family and friends; post office; weather; making arrangements to meet people
Grammar: nominative, accusative and genitive of adjectives, instrumental of nouns, plural of nouns and pronouns (dative, instrumental and prepositional), ordinal numbers, verb aspects, comparative of adjectives and adverbs, future tenses.
What will I achieve?

- talk about weather and seasons
- make arrangements to meet and go out.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is a level 2 course- suitable after approximately 1 year of study . Students must be able to read the Cyrillic alphabet. They should also be able to communicate in most basic situations.

You will also need to be able to respond to simple instructions and read course documents in English and be at ease with the use of number for daily activities (e.g using money, telling the time, etc).
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
