The odd couple: Presidents Ford and Carter

Course Dates: 23/06/22
Time: 18:00 - 19:30
Location: Online
Tutors:
Presidents Ford and Carter, who only served just over six years between them, often feel like relatively insignificant figures compared with other post-War Presidents. However, they served at a tumultuous time in both the United States and in the World. We will look at both men as individuals, their lives and reflect back on their presidencies and their legacies.
This course will be delivered online. See the ‘What is the course about?’ section in course details for more information.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This is an `introductory` level course and does not assume any previous study or reading although you will need a reasonable standard of English to keep up with the course. As with most of our history and current affairs courses, an open mind and a willingness to listen to and think about views with which you do not always agree are more important than specific levels of skills.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Lecture with question and answer opportunities.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

None.
