What is the course about?

Treating Myo-fascial Trigger points is the first step in resolving chronic pain syndromes and traumatic injury, returning vitality, range of motion and endurance to tissues that may have been under constant stress and deprived of nutrition, lacking the means and neurological cues to return to normal function.
Often clients have experienced unexplained recurring pain and injury, increased sensitisation, referred pain and related dysfunction for years, before finding the perceptive therapist who understands the mechanisms of TrP’s and Myo-fascia and the current innovative practice that addresses the dysfunction, without exacerbating the problem in the long term. These techniques enable the therapist to work with the client, within a pain threshold, to access inherent deep healing resources, targeting these often misunderstood release buttons, sensitively and intuitively.
Bust the “no pain, no gain” myth of deep tissue work, work deeper than just tissue deep, using strain/counter-strain, positions of ease and the clients own resources and awareness, supporting the release of even deeply held emotional states that inhibit healing, all of this gently, at the client’s own pace.
