What is the course about?
This is a level 3 practitioner course and will qualify you to practice as a crystal therapist. You will learn the history, composition, uses and care of the most commonly used healing crystals. The course also covers healing grids, crystal essences, chakra balancing and crystal therapy routines. You will be required to complete case studies with reflective practice.
What will we cover?
Healing crystals and their uses
Crystal therapy techniques including auric massage and crystal wands
Chakra balancing, grounding, protection
Crystal essences and sprays
Crystal grids
Meditation and visualisation
Room and energy clearing
We will also cover professionalism to include case studies, room set up, consultation and aftercare.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Perform a comprehensive crystal therapy session
Identify main healing crystals and their properties
Create crystal grids for protection, healing, centring and grounding
Perform chakra balancing with appropriate crystals
Create room sprays and gem essences
Perform auric massage with crystal spheres
Demonstrate appropriate consultation including aftercare advice
Demonstrate meditation/visualisation with crystals and appropriate use of crystal wands
Complete case studies including reflective practice.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is a level 3 practitioner course .There are no prerequisites to joining this course but it is advisable that you have some prior knowledge of energy/body work.
You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will be taught using power point presentations, practical demonstration, group and pair work. You will need to complete additional work outside of class- case studies and assignments. We recommend you allow at least 5 hours per week for homework.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
There are no additional costs although you may want to buy some crystals during the course for personal use. All crystals will be provided for work in class.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
You can go onto to study other energy course such as Reiki, Chakra balancing, meditation, etc. Or body work professional courses such as ITEC diploma in Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology. Please see our website for further details.
Oge is a body therapist and Healer. She has been a practising therapist for 16 years, treating clients with various massage therapies including holistic massage, sports and onsite massage, lymphatic drainage, Indian head massage, reflexology, and aromatherapy, in a variety of settings. She is also a Reiki Master, with particular interest in pet healing. Oge is currently tutor coordinator for the Health and Wellbeing department, as well as actively teaching and developing new courses . Her career in health began 20 years ago working within social care, specifically with children and adults with special needs After healing herself from a mystery illness, she understands how the body, mind and spirit truly work in harmony, and is passionate about bringing bodywork back to its healing roots, and improving wellbeing for everyone.
