Win 'The Happy Kitchen: Good Mood Food' by Rachel Kelly

Rachel Kelly, former Times journalist and bestselling author, will be joining us at this year’s Mental Wealth Festival, where she will be talking about her latest book 'The Happy Kitchen: Good Mood Food' on Wednesday 13 September 15:00-16:30 at City Lit.

Rachel Kelly

In this inspirational book, Rachel, who has had a history of depression, shares her personal experience of harnessing the power of food to stay calm and well. Over the past five years she has worked with nutritional therapist Alice Mackintosh to build up a range of delicious recipes, designed to boost energy, relieve low moods, comfort a troubled mind, support hormone balance and help you sleep soundly. Follow Rachel and Alice’s advice and, week by week, you will feel stronger and healthier and keep the blues at bay.

'Scientists have proved, and I know from my own personal experience, that food directly affects our mood. We really can eat for happiness. If I had to select three top 'happy foods' they would be oily fish, dark green leafy vegetables and dark chocolate. I explain exactly why this is so, with the help of more than 150 nutritional studies, in my new book The Happy Kitchen: Good Mood Food which I've co-written with the nutritional therapist Alice Mackintosh. I really look forward to sharing more with you at the fabulous Mental Wealth Festival, but meanwhile happy eating!'
