Maths GCSE Courses at City Lit in London

A maths GCSE is essential to ensure you have the skills needed to work in today’s job market. It is often a requirement of certain jobs and education courses. The GCSE is also a fantastic opportunity to discover a new world of numbers, algebra, geometry and statistics as well as develop skills you didn’t know you had.

Our passionate and skilled tutors will ensure you become confident in the key mathematical concepts needed in daily life and give you all the support you require to do well in the qualification.

You must do a pre-course assessment. Click on ‘Start Assessment’ button of the Introduction course below. You must pass this short introductory course before moving on to the full GCSE.

We also have face-to-face assessments at City Lit in a Covid-secure environment at the times below. You must make an appointment. You will need to bring a face covering and our own pens.

    Are you excited by the language of Maths? Do you want to understand how numbers, symbols and formulas allow us identify,solve problems and find patterns and structure in the world. This course will extend your analytical and problem-solving skills and help you develop logic to plan and manage other projects. A Maths GCSE is one of the most commonly required qualifications by employers and universities and by achieving it you will enhance your job and education prospects. Please note the Friday classes are not every Friday, but around every three weeks.

    You will need to do an initial pre-course assessment before being accepted onto this course and have passed the Maths GCSE (Introduction) course.     Do you want to gain a Maths GCSE but are not ready yet to achieve this in a single year? Do you need to test your abilities before attempting the qualification course? Then this Getting Ready for Maths GCSE is the course for you. It will prepare you for the accreditation and familiarise you with its content, level and expectation. You will need to complete and pass an initial assessment before starting this course to demonstrate at least a Level 1 Functional Skills level of Maths.
